Wärtsilä 20 Methanol

The fuel flexible Wärtsilä 20 Methanol is perfect as an auxiliary engine for container vessels or car carriers fuelled either by methanol, bio-LFO or a conventional LFO. 

The engine will be available in cylinder configurations 4L, 6L, 8L, 9L with the power output ranging between 0.8 and 1.8 MW at 1000 and 1200 rpm.

Wärtsilä 31 Methanol

Wärtsilä 31 Methanol will offer its proven efficiency for methanol fuelled vessels that require high operational flexibility and low emissions – also low noise emissions. This is why Wärtsilä 31 is a perfect match for ferries and luxury cruise ships who want to provide maximum comfort for their passengers.

The Wärtsilä 31 Methanol engine will be available in cylinder configurations 8V, 10V, 12V, 14V, 16V with the power output ranging between 4.7 and 9.8 MW at 720 and 750 rpm.

Wärtsilä 32 Methanol

Launched in 2022, the Wärtsilä 32 Methanol engine and Wärtsilä MethanolPac storage and supply system were the first commercially available solutions for using methanol as a maritime fuel. The Wärtsilä 32 Methanol engine’s power output ranges between 3.4 and 5.2 MW at 720 and 750 rpm.

The Wärtsilä 32 Methanol engine has type approval certificates from leading classification societies and it has been ordered for several vessels to be built in the coming years. First engines were delivered already in early 2023.

Wärtsilä 46F Methanol

For larger applications such as cruise ships and merchants that want to rely on high-end, efficient four stroke technology with low emission rates both for noise and greenhouse gas emissions, the Wärtsilä 46F Methanol offers a viable path towards sustainable fuels. It can run on conventional fuels and on methanol and therefore offers you the power to decide your decarbonisation pace.

The Wärtsilä 46F Methanol engine will be available in both inline and V cylinder configurations with the power output ranging between 7.5 and 20 MW at 600 rpm.

Wärtsilä 46TS Methanol

The Wärtsilä 46TS Methanol engine introduces the state-of-the-art two-stage turbocharging to the portfolio of large bore methanol engines providing unprecedented levels of efficiency and power density.  

Wärtsilä 46TS Methanol will be available in both inline and V cylinder configurations with the power output ranging between 8.1 and 21.6 MW at 600 rpm.
